⛲️ Gardens by the Bay is a MUST SEE attraction ⛲️ Gardens by the Bay is a MUST SEE attraction when visiting Singapore.

The horticulture-themed destination includes a variety of gardens but might be best known for its "super trees." These carefully engineered trees collect rainwater, generate solar electricity, and showcase 162,000 plants from 200 species that all flourish together in a tropical environment.

While we didn't have time to explore all the gardens had to offer, we did love pausing to soak up the beauty of the plants and the 250 acre park.

We will definitely return to Singapore--a beautiful city with friendly people who made us feel very welcome.

A special thank you to the kind folks at @emsudsclothiers in Lincoln, Neb., for finding Steve the perfect tuxedo, right down to the tie that matched Ann’s dress beautifully.

👑🐟😘 Today’s sea day was a special one: 👑🐟😘 Today’s sea day was a special one: it’s the day we crossed the equator from the Northern Hemisphere to the Southern.

In keeping with maritime tradition, the ship held a ceremony to commemorate the event with King Neptune and his court presiding.

Crew volunteers who had never crossed the equator before took the role of “pollywogs” and were tried and convicted of various (silly) crimes by the ship’s officers. They were then punished by having eggs broken over their heads, as well as cooked spaghetti, beans, and flour dumped on them. They then had to kiss a large fish.

In the end, they were transformed into Trusty Shellbacks—that is sailors who have crossed the equator.

As guests, we are “Honorary Shellbacks.” And yes, it’s official as Steve even took the opportunity to kiss the fish.

🦃 Happy Thanksgiving from Phuket, Thailand! No 🦃 Happy Thanksgiving from Phuket, Thailand!

No turkey or mashed potatoes this year. Instead, we had soup, fish curry, jasmine rice, lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and Thai iced coffee. This will definitely be a Thanksgiving that we will never forget.

Thank you for being here with us and for your continued support and encouragement.

Travel has brought so many new and wonderful people into our lives and we’re glad you are one of them.
🥘 Do you like to try local food when you travel 🥘 Do you like to try local food when you travel?

While on an excursion from the port of Cochin, India, we stopped at Xandari Pearl Beach Resort where we were treated to an enormous buffet as part of our tour.

This was an ideal way to sample a variety of Indian foods. Our favorites included a spicy lentil soup, vegetable paneer curry, an a new-to-us dish called "Corn Titbits."

Thank you, Anita and @aderobertsdotcom, for organizing everything and including us on the tour.

🧺 Think your laundry is piled up? Think again. 🧺 Think your laundry is piled up? Think again.

In Mumbai, India, there's a place called Dhobi Ghat. It's the world's largest outdoor laundry. Every day 7,000 workers (all men) flog, scrub, bleach, and dye 100,000 articles of clothing. They hang it up to dry, then press it, wrap it up, and then deliver it.

Also: have you ever purchased a "pre-washed" clothing item made in India? Guess what? Chances are it was washed here before it ever made its way to the store's shelves. Our guide told us that some 80% of pre-washed clothing from India is washed here. Her recommendation? Wash it again before wearing.
