Ciao! Are you ready to escape to Italy with us (virtually, of course)? It’s Italy Week at Postcard Jar! We hope you’ll join us on our social media channels as we all learn more about what makes Italy such a special travel destination.

While this may not be the right time to physically travel to Italy, we wanted to demonstrate how you can best experience Italy when the time is right for you. And, if travel to Italy isn’t in your future, we hope you’ll follow along anyway to learn more about this incredible country and its people.

Here’s what you can expect this week @postcardjar. 📸: Feature photo compliments of Massi the Driver.

Monday – Experiencing Italy

We’re kicking off Italy Week with useful tips and information about how to experience Italy instead of merely traveling there. We’ll show you the benefits of hiring a personal driver and how to truly immerse yourself in the Italian culture. Watch our Facebook and Instagram accounts to see how we experienced Italy and how we were able to toast Prosecco with an Italian baker in his kitchen, instead of just visiting the bakery.

Tuesday – Italian Foods

Tuesday will be all about the glorious Italian foods! We’ll share some of our favorite Italian dishes and tell you where we had the best lasagna and the most delicious Italian pizzas. And if a trip to Italy is not in your future, don’t worry! We’ll also show you several ways you can have a taste of Italy from the comfort of your own home with the help of The Chef and The Dish.

Thursday – Italian Wines

Thursday is the day we’re popping some corks and giving you tips for selecting the best Italian wines. We’ll explain the difference between a DOC and DOCG label and share some of our experiences in the Prosecco Region near Valdobbiadene and the Chianti Classico Region. And, we’ll also take you inside our wine tasting in the woods near Montepulciano.

Friday – 2 p.m. (CST) FB LIVE with Italy Unfiltered and Massi the Driver

Friday we’ll introduce you to our friends and travel partners, Deb from Italy Unfiltered and her husband, Massi the Driver. We had the privilege of traveling Italy with this beautiful couple in 2017. We can’t wait to show you what they’re up to now. Deb is an American who relocated to Siena, Italy, from her home in Austin Texas. It was easy for her to fall in love with Italy, since she also fell in love with Massi there. Massimiliano Mori, or Massi for short, is a native of Siena. He is a professional driver and loves sharing the history of his land and all its artistic, natural and gastronomic riches.
