Yes, we’ve slept around Pawhuska, Oklahoma. All around. When Ann and I were married, we took vows to forsake all others and be faithful to one another. But we’re not too shy to admit we enjoyed sleeping around Pawhuska. Now don’t get too excited. It...

🚴‍♀️🥾 The Eco Bike & Hike Tour at @hal 🚴‍♀️🥾 The Eco Bike & Hike Tour at @halhalfmooncay is a fun way to see the island and get a taste of other activities offered there.

Our 90-minute tour included a guided bike ride, short hike, water break, and a few stops for photos and rest.

A few things to know if you’re considering booking this excursion on Half Moon Cay.

1. One-speed bikes with pedal brakes and helmets are provided.

2. Most of the ride is on flat surfaces with exception of couple small hills.

3. The pace of the ride is slow.

4. Bikes do not have baskets but complimentary lockers are provided at the starting point of the ride.

5. The hike is short but includes unlevel, limestone trails.

6. There is one water break where participants are given a complementary bottle of water.

7. There are at least two places to use the restroom during the ride.

8. While the island is mostly cashless, cash tips are accepted.

Have you done this Eco Bike and Hike tour at Half Moon Cay? What did you think? If you have any other questions, just let us know in the comments.

Also, thank you our guide, Malaya!

🍓Ann’s favorite breakfast this week. We are 🍓Ann’s favorite breakfast this week.

We are sailing on @hollandamericaline’s Nieuw Statendam for a 7-night press trip in the Caribbean this week.

Most days we have gone to Deck 9 to the Lido Market for breakfast. There are a wide variety of breakfast foods offered, including traditional favorites bacon and eggs, hashbrowns, eggs Benedict, and an omelet station.

But after eating indulgent dinners most nights, we aren’t so hungry in the morning. Ann has enjoyed this bowl of Greek yogurt, muesli, berries, dried bananas, almonds, flax, and chia seeds.

It is offered every day on the buffet and has quickly become her favorite breakfast on board.

What do you like to eat for breakfast when you are on vacation?

🍷🍸🍹 Do you have a favorite bar on @hollan 🍷🍸🍹 Do you have a favorite bar on @hollandamericaline?

We stopped for a pre-dinner cocktail at the Ocean Bar on the Nieuw Statendam on our first night at sea. The drinks were good, the location is central, and the bartenders keep glasses full and smiles on everyone's faces.

Thony and Rolando (pictured here) have more than 60 years of combined experience with Holland America ships, and it shows. They serve well-crafted cocktails in a quick, efficient manner while still finding time to build relationships with their guests.

Last night we asked a couple that has cruised with Holland America more than a dozen times why they keep coming back. Without hesitation, they said, "It's because of these guys."

Cheers to Thony and Rolando. Thank you for your hard work and for helping make our cruise so memorable.

We booked a thoughtful and well-planned excursion through @hollandamericaline and learned so much about the local community and culture.

We will be sharing more about our day in Puerto Plata later on but I couldn’t resist showing you this photo from the Umbrella Street.

Have you been to Dominican Republic? What did you do there?

Our first sea day on the Nieuw Statendam was also Our first sea day on the Nieuw Statendam was also our first “dressy” night for dinner. We dined in the main dining room and met new friends there.

The menu options were varied. Ann had the Cocktail de Crevettes Louis, the Filet de Boeuf Nivernaise et Crevettes Newberg, and the Gâteau de Lave au Chocolat for dessert.

Flip through these photos to see each course and the menu. What you would have ordered? Let us know in the comments below.
